PostHeaderIcon The FUNK Returns to Lansing – Nadir at The Green Door – Thurs Aug 26

Nadir and his band make their triumphant return to the Lansing area with a date at The Green Door, 2005 E. Michigan Ave, Lansing, MI. Admission is free, and the music begins at 9:30 PM.

On May 22, 2010 Nadir took the stage at the MI Funk Festival and dazzled audiences with stone cold funk. After a long, hot summer, Nadir finally returns to Lansing.

“We can’t wait to come out and party with the folks in Lansing” says Nadir. “I’ve been looking forward to this night since we hit it at MI Funk. So everybody who comes out better be ready, because we’re gonna rock the house with a vengeance!”

PostHeaderIcon Dancin’ On the Streets: Nadir at The Heidelberg Project, Sat Aug 14

We’ll be partying at one of Detroit’s most unique artistic treasures on Saturday, August 14. It’s Dancing On The Street, The Heidelberg Project’s annual festival. The Heidelberg Project is at 42 Watson, Detroit, MI 48201. The Festival starts at noon. Nadir performs with bass blaster Chris Spooner and funky drummer Tate McBroom at 5 pm.

The Heidelberg Project is art, energy, and community.  It’s an open-air art environment in the heart of an urban community on Detroit’s East Side.  Tyree Guyton, founder and artistic director, uses everyday, discarded objects to create a two block area full of color, symbolism, and intrigue.  Now in its 24th year, the Heidelberg Project is recognized around the world as a demonstration of the power of creativity to transform lives.
